Why Actions Speak Louder

Think of someone you know who commands attention the second they walk into a room.
Can you picture them? Good! How do they carry themselves? What do you notice about their clothes? What is their body language saying?

When someone’s very presence demands respect and affirmation without them having to say a word, they understand the power of silence–making an impact without saying a word.

We usually think of silence only in terms of our relationship to another person—talking more or less, being silent on purpose, or being quiet out of self-doubt.

But silence can be a powerful tool to use for ourselves.
This week pay close attention to what you want to say by how you walk, dress, hold your head, or some other silent means of communication. Let your presence speak for itself.
Then notice who leans in a little further to get to know you better.
